Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - Fan-recreated shield display and sound effect
Inspired by the movie "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", I decided to recreate the iconic deflector shield display beep sequence using the "Telephone tone" by JelleGeus.
But I took it a step further by recreating the shield display itself.
In Adobe Audition, I isolated one of the beeps, denoised it, pitched it up and copied it about 40 times.
To get the "blueprint" of the refitted Enterprise, I opened Alexander Klemm's model in Blender and used the Line Art modifier on an empty grease pencil object
For the dots around the "blueprint", I used Adobe After Effects to create a path with a round capped stroke and added dashes with gaps.
With the Trim Paths effect, I lighted up each dot in sequence.
