Octopath Traveler II - RPG Quest
0Despite greatly enjoying the aesthetic and storytelling of the first Octopath Traveler, I never got farther into the story than 3 companions. I found it to have a fairly high level of difficulty, and the combat seemed to be one of those, "You've stepped away for too long, so now this is going to suck." The amount of grinding necessary to success seemed a bit too steep for me.
Maybe I'll finish it one of these days.
Anywho, Octopath Traveler II was announced and I was surprisingly excited for it, despite my history with the first entry. I still love the aesthetic, and I'm hoping I'll take to the combat a little better this time out.
Yes, I chose the warrior as my first companion - and I will never be convinced this is not the correct choice when playing these games. Get some firepower first, right? But, as always, the storytelling is fantastic, albeit slightly predictable in this case. If I stay the course, maybe I can even make it deeper into the game before life pulls me away. Here's hoping.
