The StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void expansion added a lot more potential for Zerg to go full Sky Zerg. In the past this was a risk as Corruptors could not attack ground, Brood Lords has much lower range and there was no proper answer to anti air. The addition of Parasitic Bomb on Vipers changes a lot of late game scenario.

In this video I discuss the potential of Zerg going mass air in the Zerg versus Protoss match-up, and what the strengths and weaknesses of it are. In general it seems to be viable, as long as you scout out exactly what the Protoss is going for.
