StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void - NYDUS SURROUND! Zerg vs Zerg Mid Game (Game Analysis)
488Zerg versus Zerg is a tough match-up. In Legacy of the Void even more so than in Heart of the Swarm. The early game options are still there, especially now that Ravagers got nerfed. It is very common for early game ZvZ to be all about the Zergling Baneling aggression.
However, in the middle part of the game there are a few more options available. For example, Mutalisks are good, as long as you the kill on the third base. Switches to Lurkers are good, as long as you play savely. Aggressive Roach burrow play is solid. Drop play is good. Nydus play is good. Basically there are countless of great options to play after the Zergling Baneling aggression. This is a complete turn around from Heart of the Swarm. In StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void you have many more options than just pure Roach or Muta Ling Bane.
In this game my opponent decides to switch to Mutalisks and Zerglings before transitioning back to Roaches and Hydralisks. He tries to kill my third base, but after not getting the kill on it I am in a great position to macro up a big army and Nydus his natural.
