Even though Lurkers got nerfed recently, they are still a viable option to play in Zerg versus Zerg. You can play an incredibly passive Zerg style where you focus on getting a couple of bases up, get your advantage with upgrades and tech up to an army that contains a couple of Vipers, a lot of Lurkers and a lot of Hydralisks.
This is the playstyle that Stephano has been playing a lot. He sits back, macros up a lot of army and trusts in his ability to out-micro his opponent to win the end game.
This playstyle is not easy, and it requires a lot of trial and error. It's difficult to figure out when you should start making army and when you should start adding on more Drones. Overdroning is a big risky. However, as soon as you get the 3 base economy up and running and you get a healthy amount of Lurkers, the game is practically yours.
In this game of Zerg versus Zerg in StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void I focus on a big Zerg army without playing aggressive at all. I simply sit back during the entire game, until I get the army that I am looking for. I am relying on Spine Crawlers, Lurkers and positioning to win this game.
