StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void - How-to win vs Skytoss as Zerg! (Game Analysis)
Protoss air is scary. Whether you are prepared for it or not it can still win games. In StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Skytoss is a lot more common because of the strength of the Zerg Ultralisk and the Lurker. Protoss currently does not have a good answer to either, and it allows Zerg to dominate the battle on the ground with ease.
However, in the air Protoss can make a lot of great units that help them win battles. Void Rays, Tempests, Carriers, Phoenixes and Oracles. They work together very well, especially with the addition of High Templars. While Zerg do have a new ability on the Viper known as Parasitic Bomb, as long as the High Templars are in range to feedback those Vipers Protoss is in a great position.
There is only one issue with this playstyle, it requires a lot of Vespene Gas. Zerg can deny bases for a long time and without the gas Protoss is weak. On top of that, Protoss armies with maxed out air are very slow, especially against Zerg counter attacks and run-bys.
In this video I discuss the different options that Zerg has when playing against Skytoss and how to beat them without just flying in Corrupter after Hydralisk without any result.
