This is my play through of Starcraft Remastered Brood War with some random commentary. Sometimes you won't even notice I'm there.

Zerg Mission 3 - The Kel-Morian Combine

With the Psi Disruptor destroyed, Kerrigan's Swarm is free to sow carnage without fear of control being lost as a result of the Disruptor's wave dampening capabilities. However, the Swarm first needs resources to grow powerful enough to take on the might of the UED forces who have secured their position on Korhal.

Having been through many scrapes together and survived against unfavorable odds, Raynor and Fenix are no fools when it comes to working alongside Kerrigan. The distrust Fenix has is based on Kerrigan's record and how the Zerg, despite being led by highly intelligent beings, seem programmed to destroy and infest everything. Raynor shares the same thoughts as his friend, but is quite certain that Kerrigan is sincere in her desire to destroy the UED Fleet. The question is what awaits them after the UED has been dealt with.

While Raynor and Fenix contemplate their situation and how they're simply choosing one evil over another, Mengsk decides to pipe in and give his thoughts as well. Raynor promptly tells Mengsk to shut it and reminds him that he is the reason there is a Queen of Blades to contend with in the first place. Before things escalate, Kerrigan intrudes into the conversation to fill the boys in on their situation.

While the Brood led by Kerrigan has grown in power with the Psi Disruptor gone, making a direct assault on Korhal required many more resources to guarantee a successful victory.

Acquiring those resources seemed simple enough if they knew who to take it from. The Kel-Morian Combine in the Moria sector seemed to have more than enough to supply Kerrigan's campaign, and their forces looked to be more than manageable. Given that the risk versus the returns seemed worth it, Raynor and Fenix seemed open to the idea of risking their necks.

This time Raynor lets Fenix take the lead, as the Protoss warrior is quite open to the offer of a chance to do battle that would improve their odds in the greater war. When the council draws to a close, Duran asks Kerrigan if their allies suspect a thing, to which Kerrigan replies that they obviously do. The UED is evil in their eyes, but they they could never predict what they stood to lose by siding with Kerrigan, making them still no more than pawns in her game of chess.

Despite being enemies of the Protoss, Fenix comments that fate is strange indeed to change circumstances such that he would be fighting alongside his mortal enemies. Raynor teases that Fenix is sounding like an old man, and the Protoss are much longer lived that Terrans to be fair. But Fenix jokes with Raynor, having picked up some Terran culture by saying he's more than capable of throwing down with the best of them.

As the battle proceeds, Kerrigan's brood claims more resources and even infests command centers to grow the strength of the Swarm. When victory is achieved, Kerrigan's Zerg forces stood strong and more than ready to retake Korhal from the UED for Mengsk.
