This is my play through of Starcraft Remastered with some random commentary. Sometimes you won't even notice I'm there.

Covers Terran Missions Tutorial - 2
Tutorial: Boot Camp
1. Wasteland
2. Backwater Station

Disturbing signs were in the air with the destruction of the colony of Char Sara by the Protoss, an advanced alien civilization. The reasons for the razing of Terran settlements were not known but a lot more Confederate traffic was in the surrounding region of space as they moved in to bring order.

After being assigned magistrate to oversee the safety of the colonists in the Mar Sara colony on an outer world that had seen settlements razed by the Protoss, the player gets walked through boot camp to learn how to fulfill his role. Having successfully completed boot camp and proven their capacity to carry out their duty, the player then meets up with the local Marshal, Jim Raynor, who was to escort the colonists to their new assigned settlement in the wasteland. After moving, they trained the militia to arm and defend themselves against any potential danger presented by the Zerg lurking around.

Despite having just been assigned, the colonists the player was in charge of seeing to the safety of were ordered to resettle out in the middle of nowhere by the Confederacy, the dominant Terran faction governing affairs in this part of space. With no way to protest the decisions that had been made, the player leads his forces out into the dangers without any aid from the Confederacy.

After establishing a secure-enough outpost, the player gets alerted by a distress beacon from another backwater outpost requesting aid from an attack by an unknown alien presence. The Confederacy's General Duke, who had given the command for the colonists to resettle in the wasteland in the first place, told the player that Confederacy will be handling things and for the player to sit back. In line with the Confederacy's condescending attitude, Duke told the player that they'll be provided with info if they decided that it is something the Player needed to know.

Jim Raynor, all too familiar with the Confederacy's ways, presses the player to take action as the outpost under attack by aliens would be decimated by the time the Confederacy actually did something. Driven by the desire to save fellow humans from imminent danger, the player takes Jim's advice and mobilizes his militia to deal with the threat.

Still unfamiliar with what the Zerg are, the player leads Jim and the troops to an outpost and successfully reclaim some buildings that were still functional and saved some lives as well. However, they eventually come across a disgusting infested building that just screamed of danger and burned it down at Jim's urging. Just as they finish demolishing the infested building, General Duke shows up and has them arrested for breaking colonial law by destroying Confederate property. It didn't matter what danger it had presented to the colonists but Duke's decision once again reiterated an irreconcilable difference in attitude between colonists and Confederate officials.

The Terran storyline takes the player along a ride that sees the expanding colonization of space by humans disrupted and threatened by the arrival of two competing alien forces known as the Zerg and Protoss. The player assumes the role of the Magistrate turned rebel commander turned rogue commander.

Terrans are simply humans in a universe where space travel has developed so much that they've set their eyes on colonizing planets and their civilization grew in wealth from the resources they harvest from planets. Being humans, they bring with them all their flaws and politics as well.

Zerg can be simply described as giant space bugs but their complexity and intelligence far exceeds that of brainless bugs as they are controlled by a mysterious powerful being known as the Overmind. The Protoss are an ancient sentient race known for their shield and warping technologies that are engaged in open warfare against the Zerg, and would

Starcraft Remastered is a well-done update to Starcraft which came out in the late 90s and was a genre defining title that helped magnify the significance of connecting players through the internet and also giving players the power to customize and create their own maps. The improved graphics and inclusion of both the original and the Brood Wars expansion packs hours of entertainment and tells a pretty neat story that features three races each with their distinct playing style and unique background.
