Starfield Is Getting Annual Expansions... But It's A Waste Of Resources
212In a recent interview, Todd Howard pretty much confirmed that they're aiming to give Starfield Annual Story Expansions.
While it may sound cool, I'd much rather they used these resources to further improve the ESVI base game, or even start early on expansions for that game so we aren't waiting a year after launch to get something new (like we have with Starfield).
Even if they can improve Starfield, I see it as a lost cause. The foundation is just terrible and contains little to none of the exploration they're known for, even if they can add a bit of that into an expansion, it won't change that the base game sucks.
Get it right with the ESVI, give it as much content as you can, move on from Starfield.
