Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is Focused On "Pronouns" & "Accessibility" Rather Than Fun...
I find it interesting that a team who released an unfinished game after 6 years (Anthem) somehow have time to go overboard with accessibility features and character creation options that matter to less than 1% of the population.
Accessibility doesn't have to be a bad thing, but it seems to be a growing trend where games release buggy and unfinished, yet somehow the devs have had a whole bunch of time to work on accessibility options.
It feels like more ideology focused, culture rot within the game industry and I'll be curious to see if this game releases extremely bug free / culture rich given most of these accessibility features should be their last priority.
This also confirms to me that the reason Dragon Age combat has been dumbed down over the years isn't because EA demand a dumbed down game that more people can get onboard with, it's because Bioware think interesting combat is excluding people and therefore dumbing everything down is their duty in the name of "accessibility".
