(Stellaris) Flexible Defense - Mirovandia Tree of Life ep 07
Welcome back!
In today's episode, I spend about an hour at war with my two main rivals. That's it. Just maneuvering and trying not to get outmaneuvered. Well, okay, there's some initial planning and some clean-up, too.
So, in this war, I had no less than four fronts to defend. Three of them with one rival, andone with another. And their defense pact meant if I ignored any of them, I'd lose territory. So, I attacked from two of the fronts (one of the three, and the solo point). I actually systematically won the solo front, but had to make sacrifices and advance faster than my other rival could advance in order to win the other war.
For today's question, their total power was about equal to mine, but more split up. How can mutual defense and the ability to rapidly choose which front sees battle affect how war goes? My three fronts against the Penthulan Pact let them pick two to attack me from, until my advance took over their center and let me choose how to counterattack them.
