Taking Over, Cluster and Custodian - Tree of Life Mirovandia ep 11 - Naysmith Plays
Welcome back!
A longer episode, as I've been veering into lately. Building in the L-Cluster, Getting the Swarm declared the Crisis they wanted to be... and removing my custodian term limits. Yeah. I'm going to beat up the Yldar Shard for Dark Matter soon, but not this episode.
I'd like to ask you about finding the threats hiding behind other threats. I mean to become the emperor, and I practically telegraphed my intentions, if anyone was paying attention. But the Swarm is an existential threat, and I'm just a political one (and they are clearly not of my making - everyone was waiting for someone else to declare them a crisis, and I'm the one who did so). But a political threat I still am. Emperor-to-be, if I have my way - and I'm around half the votes. More if I do some fast conquest first, before anyone can vote to depose me.
In stopping the existential threat, did they create an inevitable (but lesser) one? Was I already such a threat (I was), but they just let me become inevitable?
(Joke: Or since the AI is so terrible at deciding what's important, is this just the only way?)
