If your goal is to earn enough revenue from your YouTube channel to sustain your lifestyle, you need to focus on more than just gaining subscribers.

Many youtube gamers I've worked with have expressed that they want to earn a full time income from the work they do on YouTube. It's a great goal to have. But, unfortunately, so many youtube gamers I work with are trying to accomplish this with Adsense as their primary stream of income.

It's not impossible to earn a living from Adsense, but it will take a lot more work than I think some of you realize. Of course, many of you live in different places, so a full time income will look different for most. But I can tell you that 1,000,000 subscribers at the normal 15% attach rate would not even get me close to feeding my family where I'm from...unless I wanted to produce multiple videos per day (which I don't).

My main encouragement to you here is to start looking into other streams of revenue. Do research about how to wrap a business model around what you do on YouTube. Whether it's selling products like my ebook or dvds or selling some type of service through the videos you make.
