Kojima Productions Big Game - My Concerns About The Future
29Hideo Kojima's move to Sony Computer Entertainment has the whole gaming world rightfully excited and happy. However, in the midst of that excitement, I find myself concerned about the future games coming from Kojima Productions.
The original Metal Gear is arguably my second favorite video game of all time (right behind the original Metroid). But as the series progressed, I found myself liking Kojima's games less and less.
From Metal Gear Solid all the way to now, I've been disillusioned with what I consider to be an overly heavy hand when it comes to narrative and story presentation in Kojima's games. Don't get me wrong, the stories are all great...But I'm not playing games for their stories.
