Strain Review Sesh! || Gelato Cake from 417 Craft Cannabis!
1Hello! It is Wednesday, my dudes. And today we're going over Gelato Cake coming from 417 Craft Cannabis!
Gelato Cake is a cross of Gelato #33 x Wedding Cake. It is widely described as a hybrid to slightly Indica leaning hybrid. The flavor profile can range from a creamy and earthy profile to one that has a bit more of a fruity and cakey flavor profile. I suspect the Cannabinoid content is rather similar to the rest of the strains. Mid 20s THC with maybe high 20s low 30s Cannabinoids. However, I do think this one either has the lowest Terpenes or just the most lackluster flavor profile of the four that I got. I'd have to guess maybe 1.5%. It is likely to contain heightened amounts of Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Limonene, Linalool, and Humulene.
As far as the flavor and smell goes on this particular grow, in the bag it has an herbal and musky sent with notes of spice and some citrus. The citrus and funk or musk are expressed a bit more after grinding. The flavor profile comes across as pretty creamy and cakey, not much of any fruity flavors in particular, maybe just a hint of citrus. But nothing like a super strong berry or grape flavor. I also found the flavor to diminish pretty quickly in the vaporizer on this one. That could just be because it comes across as a really typical Cannabis flavor profile or evidence of just low Terps.
So, as far as effects go, this one does come across as right in the middle for me. Has a decent amount of an uplifting euphoria and a lighter but chilled out body high. I do find that too high of a dose can bring on a bit of anxiety, for me. So maybe be a bit careful if you're susceptible to that. I found it to alleviate all aches and pains just fine and even offered a nice lift from fatigue while also helping lift mood and boost appetite. I think this strain would work really well as an all day strain for many people.
All in all, it's honestly my least favorite from this batch of stuff but still quite nice. Definitely grown with a similar quality to the rest.
