Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, 1992 Capcom (20 From '92 Part 7)
Significant upgrade to the original revolutionary fighting game-- this allows you to not only play against a doppelganger of your character but you are allowed to play as all 4 boss fighters from the original as well-- both I believe to be firsts in the arcade scene! Yes, you can play as Balrog (boxer), Vega (clawed acrobat), Sagat (tall Muay Thai kickboxer), and Bison (powerful dictator). And if you're wondering if Bison is as dominating to control as he was tough to fight against.. yeah, as long as you know all his moves, he can be pretty devastating to your opponents! His psycho charge attack is so unfair (and plows through opponents, causing damage even if they block), and his slide attack is pretty fast. The special moves from all the boss fighters can be devastating if used properly. There are other changes in this upgrade from Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, like a general "evening of strength" among the fighters, and some mild graphical improvements in some backgrounds or endings.. but the real significant changes are the doppelganger fights (featuring a different costume color for the doppelganger) and the playable boss characters. These changes made this the most commonly seen version of Street Fighter II, even with other upgrades to follow like Turbo Hyper Fighting, among many others.
