This game was purchased a long time ago and I'd probably sell it if it wasn't fairly hard to come by. The effort is there somewhere, but I'm not impressed by the game; The game is so sparse and suffers slowdown when just about anything pops up on screen, the game has jerky controls, and the music just doesn't compare to other versions. The graphics flicker so much and some bosses cause so much slowdown that the game almost feels unplayable. I'm still not even sure when my attacks connect as I strike the first boss. And what's up with the repeat comment from that one person?

This game should have been modified more to the system's strengths like the NES game (which was completely different from the Arcade or Genesis/MD game) instead of trying to be like the Arcade and Genesis game... either this game was just lazily done or downsizing it was too much for the SMS to handle. I'd just like to think it was a lazy attempt. It's not unplayable, but given its scarcity and overall feel, I don't think it's worth tracking down unless you're a collector, because I know I don't play it on a regular basis. One of its few tidbits of interest is that this was one of the last SMS games released in the U.S., less so in other territories.
