Welcome! To Let's play #Stonghold HD, part 2, Today we fight with the Rat. First of the opponents in Stronghold. The Rat use the most basics of units the spearman and archers. He lacks even the basic knowledge of siege art. However on our current situation is complete fine since we lack the possibility to make the more advance defences in Stronghold. As for now the best thing we can do and the fastest we can do is to make wooden walls with wooden platform and send in the Archers. The most basic of the Defence art is to put the archers as high as possible. The wooden platform can’t be build that high so we have to use the terrain for our advantage. We will also have to defence our self from the wolves. AS they will try to hunt down our men along with hunters and woodcutters.
Mission 4 in Stronghold is where the true art of the game in Stronghold starts. Here we can choose the difficulty level and we get all kinds of random events that affect our castle.
In this mission we also get a taste of a true siege that come in Stronghold. Fighting the Rat on open field our without serious defence fortifications is not an option this time! We will use the keep as our main defense structure as it is the highest we can make so far. Put all the archers on top of it. surround the camp with wooden walls long with cattle farms, bow makers and granary along with armory. Make sure the Keep is placed as close to the edge of the hill as it is possible so the archers will have better advantage over the forces of The rat.
