0:44 Secret #1: Berserk
1:04 Rocketlauncher
I had to disable "Doom's point-on-line algorithm", which is normally enabled in "Boom (strict)" compatibility., because it breaks this map's resurrection gimmick in GZDoom. All the corpses would get resurrected immediately when the map starts, long before you even arrive here. Other than that, I don't think it affects the gameplay in any significant way.
3:56 SSG
Two or three attempts lost to the pacifist Cyberdemon.
6:26 Yellow Key
The fused Hell Knights and Barons are a bug. GZDoom fixes this, no matter the compatibility settings. This means I can't really camp on the platform and wait for the PEs to get close.
10:41 Secret #2: Megasphere (taken later after the cathedral)
10:56 Secret #3: Cyberdemon telefragging minigame
The shootable switch requires the yellow key and opens the teleporter.
Why is it so hard to press these damn switches?!
12:01 Secret #4: 2 Megaspheres
12:45 BFG (Cathedral)
I tried lots of different approaches here, but I'm not satisfied with any of them. I have, at best, a 70% success rate here. It's all about the two roaming Cyberdemons and if they decide block me at an inopportune moment. They did!
14:44 Secret #5: Cyberdemon telefrags
17:07 Plasma Gun
I lost an attempt here because a Chaingunner got resurrected *inside* one of the pillars. Very cool.
18:46 The Arena
I have no idea what I'm doing. But I tested the range of the AV towers with fast monsters and drew a mental red line on the ground. There is, maybe surprisingly, a lot of space available at the north end.
27:47 Pain Elemental closet
Unpopular(?) opinion: This map would be better without these closets.
28:23 Barons
Why does this fight exist?
31:38 Cyberdemon + AV closet
A boo-boo! That must have been the lowest damage roll ever.
32:27 Revenant boxing rings
This fight is "easy" in the sense that there is a very low chance of dying with that extra Megasphere. But doing this fight without getting hit more than once or twice is *not* easy. You can get very nasty patterns. I found it helpful to occasionally leave this corner to dodge underneath the missiles, and then go back up again. Most of the missiles can't follow you up the stairs.
I got fairly lucky with the patterns and didn't have to do much.
33:45 AV closet
35:35 RNG slaughter
Checking the kill count, because I had it happen in practice that one Imp got randomly resurrected and was stuck in the Baron's arena which is closed off after you press this switch.
I say "RNG", but it's actually not that bad. Even if the AVs do get aggressive, I somehow tend to get through most of the time, anyway.
The goal here is to run back and forth between the two hiding spots until the swarm of Lost Souls reaches the center. When I can run circles around the arena, it's clean-up time.
Once again, I must kill all the Lost Souls.
41:26 16 Angry Arch-viles
How is it possible to create a fight that is so easy yet so nerve-wracking?

It's done!
This map took 9 attempts, two of which made it past the cathedral. And lots of procrastinating.
