It seems to be a coop only glitch. In order to activate the glitch; one player has to enter the boss cutscene trigger while the other is airborne from a jump. Both players will lose their hurtbox as usual with all boss sequences to prevent death after loss of control by design. The jumping player will have to continue jumping the whole boss intro to never regain their hurtbox (this seems to be the most likely scenario but I could be wrong). The timing is tight; it seems to be near frame perfect to jump constantly right when you land. There may be an easier way to execute it (autofire?) but this is the way I figured it out after seeing it in my previous two player run through the game. Glitch doesn't seem limited to a single character as demonstrated!
