Time for something a bit different, Supapon is an Arkanoid / Breakout style of puzzle game with the player having to break the on screen blocks to finish the level. Only released in Japan it's a bit different to other similar puzzle games in that the player only needs to clear the yellow circles wearing the shades in order to finish the level. However clearing all blocks grants a perfect score and bonus points. There's a wealth of power ups to use and later stages see you squaring off against bosses.
This video is taken from the later DX release of the game, which features a huge number of changes over the original 1995 release. The biggest change being the new two player versus mode, a password system, remixed stages and an intro for arcade mode. While for a 1996 release it doesn't have the best graphics the bright and bold characters do have a certain charm.
Supapon DX is not available on any other format.
