I was lucky to get my physical preorder early. but I feel this game has some potential a patch could fix. This is the ps4 version on ps5 (edit: ps5 is out now with free digital upgrade and cross platforming, which helps a ton for performance). I wouldn't recommend the switch version as loading takes some time.

The voices are repetitive (I'm still going strong is as bad as trinity trigger that lacks the off button) but you can lower or mute them fortunately. The story mode is skippable (feels like nick Jr with visual novel elements) but the level editor and online/offline play have potential.

The story and regular battle modes seem to load faster too, though booting and castle are at least about 20 seconds on ps4 (much less to boot on ps5 though 15 for castle, which is more reasonable).

Online takes some time and character unlocks are 1000 gold apiece (no paid/dlc option). I made 50 winning this match, so it will take time though online is way better as I got 260 for winning (I learned the contraptions they call gimmicks and humans only stole 1 treasure). Check the map with the crown says who the defender is.

Castle mode has 7 attackers vs 1 defender, and the AI didn't really raid me. They just got near keys and stopped, so I won by default on this mermaid level, with 2:16 a funny thumbnail for the red bomber. Glad I could respawn.

The AI fares better in that 64 mode on 8 maps. Unfortunately, you cannot choose the mode to play online (thanks for the comments so I can update this and make it a type of guide), and story mode doesn't net you coins for completed levels (correct me if completion awards you), so extra characters can be a pain to get, so choose the one at a time, wisely. No customizable controls neither so get used to circle for using bombs.

It was nice to see the clip was too long for ps5 (3 mins limit to app) but I can link youtube and automatically upload).
