Final Fantasy Tactics Cthulhu Mindflayer Moveset Drives Summoner Insane to Heal Enemies Ft Orlandeau
This was pretty insane (pun intended) as you can use easy chapter 4 just to be build-a-bear tactics.
My mindflayer, which I read derives from dungeons and dragons but I think both games got it from Cthulhu, can do 2 special tricks:
1) Mind blast causes confusion and berserk (I show it twice and to be funny, throw Orlandeau also messing with someone's head). Berserk forces stronger normal attacks (good vs mages/ability users) but they may attack the wrong height if there is an overlap.
I did not expect the summoner to heal my monsters with summon attacks (blue dragon with glacial shards Shiva that I skipped the name, and Dryad with titan's earth). This will also interrupt their charging, so it's like an instant win (and I have lost random battles endgame due to these guys if debuff protection isn't equipped).
2) Level drain with beastmaster (stand nearby human with this support ability) can lower levels. You can minmax by lowering a bard's terrible stats by level, and then increasing with a mime's higher stats (or if you want to take all day by having a pig/swine lay eggs to be a wild boar, whose beastmaster can bequeath bacon, to make the onion knight gain levels as it has great growth but has no experience).
The mindflayer can be found at zeirchele falls or finnath creek in random encounters.
Orlandeau is pretty much an instant win button (some call him space Obi Wan Kenobi) with crazy stats and haste giving Excalibur to go faster, while equipping the thief's cap for more speed. War of the lions allows Meliadoul's equipment breaking skills to hit animals, but she still can't catch up, while Orlandeau has every one's skill set, even the life draining night sword (now fell knight) gaffgarion has (similar to sanguine sword the dark knight has).
I couldn't get the better Treant that can heal, but even the dryad can do something in win more setups (guardian nymph casts protect around her but needs beastmaster right next to it, within 3 height). Unfortunately, the mindflayer's ink to blind is useless.
Orators really open up this game with entice recruitment (you need their monster talk ability if you change jobs for speechcraft with monsters), and magic attack buffs for accuracy (runeblade Agrias was a great orator build with holy sword as the guns aren't worth it, though normal can time mage quick).
I think this wraps up fft for my vids, but I'm glad I kept getting ideas, especially with high level monster, enemy equipment and special characters scaling chapter 3.
