You'll find the area in this video near the start of the underground area. All you need to do is simply bounce on the turtle shell repeatedly and let the unlimited lives flow. There are a couple way to do this trick:

1) Hard method - bounce on the turtle shell in the middle of the area and hopefully you have everything lined up perfectly. This method is much harder as it requires you to be very precise.

2) Easy method - after you kill the turtle, simply pick up his shell and line yourself up in the middle of the area shown in the video. Throw the shell and immediately do a short jump straight up, if you did it right you should see the 1UPs go flying! If you do a long jump, you'll jump right over the shell and end up getting hit by it on the bounce back. Watch the video as I demonstrate multiple times.

Also this trick seems to work better with big Mario as the timing with small Mario seems to fall off after a while and you'll die and seen at the end of the video.
