Super Mario Galaxy - Episode 9: You Left the Spirits and only Threw the Stones!
0In today's episode of the "Super Mario Galaxy" playthrough, we get the remaining stars in the Ghostly Galaxy (for the time being), save Luigi from a roof, and defeat Bowser Jr.'s airship to get our next Grand Star.
As you'd expect from a placed named "Ghostly Galaxy", all of the missions have a supernatural element to them: having to race a boo with a need for speed to get the second star, navigating a ghostly pocket dimension with only select portions in existence at any given time to find the hidden star, and the third star being guarded by some rock-throwing poltergeist (aptly named Bouldergeist) that we have to defeat by using the explosive boos that it throws our way to blast it to kingdom come.
When it comes to Bouldergeist, my main advice for dealing with him is to be patient. Just run off to the side to dodge the rocks being chucked at you, grab the Bomb Boos as soon as you can, blast him, and try not to lose your cool if you have bad luck in the second phase with the hands blocking all of your explosions. Sure, it's stressful having to fight a boss like this without taking a single hit as part of the Daredevil Comet, but at least you're allowed to take as long as you need with that mission, which is more than I can say about the Prankster Comet mission involving Bouldergeist in "Galaxy 2"...
Other than saving Luigi from a roof for an easy star in the Good Egg Galaxy, we fight Bowser Jr., who decides to handle things himself this time around by attempting to blast us to smithereens with his ship's cannons, only for his plan to backfire thanks to the countless Koopas walking around the ship that we're on. And with that, we've got another Grand Star and can move onto the next dome.
