Super Mario Maker 2 - Custom Course: Heights 'n' Spikes
It's been too long since the making of this level to remember exactly what I had in mind making it. I'm not entirely happy about how the ground half of the level turned out, or how you can get stranded on that one ground tile near the second rainbow, but otherwise I feel it's probably one of my better courses.

[0:00-2:21] Playthrough
- 0:47 Probably obvious, but standing on that 1UP block is the "cheesy" way to go through that obstacle, not that it's much harder normally.
- 1:44 I took that hit here because getting that 1UP over the ledge is agony as anything other than Small Mario, and I wanted to show it's there.
[2:21-2:36] Shortcut #1 - Leap of Faith
- A cheeky shortcut that I noticed during testing and decided it's a decent enough skill check to award skipping half the level.
[2:37-2:59] Shortcut #2 - Spike Ride
- Arguably an easier shortcut that covers a longer distance.
[3:00-3:16] Secret #1 - Early Fire Flower
- Having the first available power-up be tiered is one of those little habits I have, I like the idea of rewarding a player for considering something like that.
[3:17-3:30] Secret #2 - Heaven's Gift
- A reward for the observant. The jumps are hard to make on the first try, so I intentionally skipped it on the playthrough for both the pacing and my own sanity.
Coming back from the dead with a long overdue playthrough of a level I released a year ago. The capture device was exceptionally finicky this time, so the audio sync and frame stutter is nasty on this.
