This is where I indulge in a little narcissism. I'll be doing playthroughs of my own levels, trying to cover as much of the secrets and alternate paths as possible. I'll also probably fill up the description with needless trivia.

Course ID: BJ8-JNC-VWF

[0:00-1:16] Main playthrough
- 0:16 When a Rocky Wrench is completely under the ground, their head works as its own platform, which you can use here to grab a Fire Flower. The entire level actually started out with me wanting to use this trick in a level.
- 0:25 The 1UP was there in the original, but the claw and the 10-Coin were new additions to the "remake".
- 0:38 The level was lacking a reason for the Fire Flower at the start, so I added the bouncing Piranha Plants to make some use of it. Without the power-up, I set them up in a way that you should be able to dash past them if you start as soon as the left one bounces, after which you can just kill them by bumping the note blocks from underneath.
[1:16-2:18] Remaining secrets and an alternate path
- 1:20 Bouncing off of the Rocky Wrench lets you enter the pipe they come from for cash monies. This secret actually had a noticeable change from the original. Due to the original Mario Maker letting you overlap pipes, you would exit out the top of the pipe instead of the bottom. I had to add the platform to prevent falling onto a spike in this version.
- 1:41 Threading the needle here is actually easier than it may look since you can just run off the block and pop straight through. The door at the base of the moving platform section is there in case you failed that segment, letting you return to the main path instead.
- 1:53 A sneaky little 1UP to finish off the secrets.

So, Jaunt was my first Mario Maker 2 level, but it started out as a level on the original Mario Maker under the name "A Brief Venture". I made it pretty late into the game's life though, so it got deleted and banned for not being played enough times (it only gives you like a day or something so unless you're popular or an absolute whore it won't stay up long).

When Mario Maker 2 came out, I wanted to recreate something to get back into the groove, so I chose this level. It's mostly faithful to the original, but there are some minor alterations and additions due to the changes between games.
