Super Mario Maker 2 was released on the Nintendo Switch worldwide on June 28th 2019 Worldwide. It was planned along with the development of the Switch, and was announced during the February 13th 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation. Super Mario Maker wasn't ported over from Wii U, so it was great to get a sequel on the Switch. While this doesn't serve as a full Super Mario Maker 2 review, we give our impressions of the individual levels we play. We play random created levels, but don't play the Mario Maker 2 Story Mode. The game was directed by Yosuke Oshino, who originally worked on the Pikmin ports on Nintendo Wii. His first role as director was on Super Mario Maker 1, which means he has directed both Super Mario Maker games.
