The sun is setting on the first Super Mario Maker, with Nintendo shutting off key online features on 31 March 2021. Players will no longer be able to upload courses, but it appears that downloading courses will still be possible. The Super Mario Maker Bookmark website will also be shut down, so players can no longer look up their bookmarks. Super Mario Maker was released in Sep 2015, and will be removed for purchase from the eShop on 21 Jan 2021. These changes won't impact Super Mario Maker 2 or Super Mario Maker 3DS (which had no upload feature anyway).
