Super Mario Odyssey - How to Moon Skip (Notes to Self)
0Notes to myself on the big Moon Skip. This is a physical cart, presumably on version 1.3.0 since I've done no mods (on May 31, 2021)
* Ground Pound Jump
* Throw the hat straight ahead at max height, hold up to bounce on it
* move to that left grey "L" on the left, and get "inside" the box (the empty top right of the L). Push Y to get extra height from the hat throw, then wall jump
* Hold hard left (and only left...and jump of course) out of the wall jump. You should have enough height to catch the wall. If you're too low, Mario will not slide on the wall.
* Wall jump as soon as you see Mario grab the wall, hold up on the left stick to make it to the ledge. Lining up a dive can help get the last bit of distance (and is probably faster movement in the end anyway) -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/mrcab55
