Part 5: Lost World Collapse

World 6 is the most long world of the hack having a ton of levels just in the lost world alone, so yes this ended tooking me a lot of time, and being so long i had a few things to unpack here so oh boi

-Near Forbidden Zone:Stage with a theme of idk, coast? Mountain? Grass? This stage is fine, i don't have much to say about it
-Forbidden House: Revamped stage, and again, i can tell for the music and tileset, and just like some of the new stages, the graphics don't click with me. Leaving my peronal taste aside, this stage is good but you can skip most of the stage with the spring, it also is a bit flat in that section
-Forbidden Cavern: I don't know if the Foreground being green is intentional or not, it makes it look like grass and it kinda reminds me to these "Shrines" in Terraria where the Enchanted Sword can be. But anyways this stage is good and the enemies keeps you in your toes
-Forbidden Fortress: Right of the bat, the music can drive you insane, you can tell it was an old port. Thematically the stage is alright. I like how the Foreground changes from dirt to stone in some sections. The problem is a corridor with tight space and spikes over it. And the falling section is mostly a leap of faith without proper indication
-Mirrored Hallway: And here we have the lost world. This level idea is good, i recall seeing it in other hacks but don't remember which ones. Basically what's above you is below you and you need to pay attention, i died a lot because i was looking above and sometimes i either bonked or touched a boo
-Midnight Casino: You can guess the inspiration on this one. Yes, Mega Man. This stage is very generous with the coins, that's pretty much what i can say about the stage, it's also very short
-NES Era: And here we have one of the highlights of this world. Back then when i first played this hack this stage and other 2 in this list amazed me, playing it now... it's alright. Nowadays this stage isn't anything amazing but back then i thought it was cool. As for the stage itself, it's a Remix of SMB, SMB2/USA and SMB3.
-Speed Break: Sonic yet again, this one uses the fast, REALLY FAST autoscroller in 2 sections, after that it changes to a race against a starman, yes. Kinda weird to change the focus but alright, the obstacle course wasn't bad. Nice stage
-Underground Sector: Metroid stage, this one remixes the Metroid stages of NES, SNES and GBA. this stage isn't that bad. My critique would be the "SNES" one where it forces you to be small or you can't progress, but Metroid games have one tile corridors so take it as a nitpick instead. And after the SNEs one it's the GBA one where you only grab the goaltape and end the level. Overall good level
-SNES Era: Just like the NES Era this takes games from well, the SNES and uses the tiles from it, this being "Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Bros 2 The Lost Levels" which is from the NES Era but uses the SNES graphics, suuuure. This stage is another of the highlighs from this world personally
-Luigi Disillusion: A bizarre stage if i say so mysyelf, everything is Luigi, everything. I don't remember if this idea returns in later hacks of this series or if i saw it elsewhere but there was a level with just Luigi's. Ah right the level, Very good
-Master Shell Demo: New stage. This one is 2 levels of a cancelled hack, the first one is alright, the second one is the level i like, It may be the SMB3 tileset, the purple palette or the BG but i like it
-HandHeld Era: Following the "Era" levels, this time it's handheld time. Choosing "Super Mario Land, New Super Mario Bros and Mario Bros.". Now, i know Mario Bros. is from the Arcades and it's here for the "Advance" series that had Mario Bros as a mini game
-Mario Maker Medley: This is also a new stage and well designed, which is inaccurate to SMM because that gagme has 80% garbage
-Desert Temple: The start is a trip in the desert and then a pyramid, goos stage
-Forbidden Ice and Fire Land: Good sets of levels, i like how the feather is treated as a special item
-The Green Hills: Sonic level, not much to say, it's alright
-The Lost Cave: This stage has a lot of paths and everyone leads the same way, very good
-Forbidden Grounds: Standard athletic level with flying fish
-Kuja's Despair: Autoscroller with a character from FF, Isaix likes that gagme after all
-Sky Temple: A basic castle, it's fine, it spices things out with a p-switch, that's all i can say
