Super Mario /v/orld: New Vegas (Smw Hack) - Part 3
Part 3: Branching Forest
from here onwards everything gets harder, and longer. Spoiler, Next 2 videos are more longer than this one. This world is Forest themed and branchs World 4 and 5 so let's write fast
-w3-1 Low-Grav Glade: The first level that messes with physics, oh goodie. Floaty jumps and tricky sections that needs jumps. It can screw new players over i can say that, it takes time to get used to these, but overall a nice start
-w3-2 Blue Foerest: Not a typo, the level is named FOErest. A blue forest, idk but i love this stage, it's so relaxing to me for some reason. The level is huge and features enemies from the Water spritesheet, not a bad combo, so far this is one of my favorite stages. And the music is just good mmmmmmmm
-w3-3 B-Doing Woods: I have the strange feeling that this level was made by the same anon that made "Forest Funland" or "Fluffy Fields" from v1 but i may be wrong. This level is a mess aesthetic wise, mixing tiles and with a palette that is not that good. the level is challenging no doubt about it but most of the time is bullet bill hell or black munchers, it's fine i guess
-w3-4 Enchanted Midnight: Underway aesthetics, yes, i remember that "Style" choice more for that dumb "'the" hack. The stage is for the most part challenging with the enemy placment and the hazards, most notable tight spaces with spikes and spiky foes, im not a fan but this stage is not really that bad, if anything it's tolerable, good stage. The other minor complain would be that this stage almost forces you to be Small Moot for no reason other than make the stage more harder
-w3-5 SOUL Jungle: SMB2 and YI collide in this stage. Visually the stage is nice, the level design is good for the most part and the enemy placment is good. Secret exit can be a bitch to get. Good stage
-w3-6 March of the Mootykins: Automatic level reminiscent of Mario & Wario and most obvious, March of the Lemmings. The level is a big "puzzle" where you must help Moot to get from point A to point B, Most of the puzzles were fantastic and clever. Good stage but a bit tedious to think
-w3-7 Temporary Temperature: Another gimmicky stage, taking the key as the main thing for the level, you must either use the freeze or hot temperature to progress through the level, and it can be tricky i tell you that much, it''s a bit difficult specially in the second half where you have barely any time to lose, but the stage itself is great with the concept
-w3-8 Somethingland: It's strange to jump from a Difficult long stage to a stage that is more short and simple, i'm not complaining, but i can see the spike in difficulty from level to level. In any case this was good to relax a bit after the time spent in the previous one so i'm fine with this. And the level was actually good too, it was hard but nothing too crazy
-w3-C Key Below The Door: This is another Puzzle stage and for the first half it was fine, it's from the second section where it all goes downhill. For one, you must guide a koopa from top to bottom with an on off switch and the field of the koopa is so tiny, second, the mushroom and key aren't guaranteed as it can go wither Left or Right, making this process tedious, yet again this stage hides a star level so it's ok, just ok
-w3-9 VERY GOOD BRIDGE: Bridges that go upward, huh. That's the gimmick of the level, bridges, they can go up and down, it's a good challenge but can caught you off guard, good thing is that the stage is not stupidly hard. I like this stage
-w3-A Day Of The Rake: These leafs are janky as fuck, as a result this stage can go well or bad, thats my only problem with this stage, otherwise this was a fine experience, and a challenging one too
-w3-B At /v/OOM's Gate: An auto runner/Automatic stage, and it syncs with the music, now why the fuck it's this stage taking that long? because it's janky and not consistent at all with the setups, i know it was fixed in 1.03 or something but at the time i recorded this i had the 1.00 version, so i just had to deal with it. Overall good stage
-w3-Palace Tubular CBT Version SWITCH PALACE: With a name like that i was scared of this level, it's challenging, tight, incredibly BS but i liked the stage, it's not long so it helped a lot
And that's the third set of levels, after this i stoped recording here because it was late at night and i was sleepy (It was 2 AM)
