Gouki's brother, Gouken, refused to embrace the Satsui no Hadou, believing it was too dangerous. Gouki eventually challenged Gouken to a duel, believing he was the only one who could truly understand the power of Ansatsuken.
Gouken was defeated in the duel, but he survived. He then founded his own school of Ansatsuken, where he taught his students to control their emotions and avoid the Satsui no Hadou.
Despite their differences, Gouki and Gouken are still brothers. They are also both incredibly skilled martial artists, driven by a desire to become the strongest fighters in the world. In the Street Fighter video game series, they are often portrayed as rivals. However, it is important to remember that they are also brothers who share a deep bond.
Gouki's attack pattern is the epitome of power, with no naturally occurring chains or Power Gems. Opponents can only get lucky by having staircases in their play field that cause some of the Counter Block colors to line up. However, this perfect attack pattern comes at a huge sacrifice: Gouki can only send 70% of the usual amount of Counter Blocks as another fighter with a weaker pattern. This makes battles long and drawn out, as Gouki can smash huge Power Gems in quick succession and still be unable to take out his opponent.
This is why playing as Gouki in Super Puzzle Fighter II can be quite a challenge!
