Super Robot Wars GC Gamecube English Patched v 1.2 Chapter 7 - Garma Strikes
Super Robot Wars GC is a game from the Super Robot Wars series and the only game released for Gamecube on 16 December 2004. I used Dolphin Emulator version 5.0 and English patch for this game.
The gameplay seems to be a mix of Dynasty Warriors Gundam and general Super Robot Wars gameplay. In every SRW games, pilots have their own spirits or people often called it magic that would help the pilot by increasing his or her morale, perfectly dodging attack once, etc. The unit also has its own terrain capability which indicated by the name of the terrain along with alphabet of S, A, B, C, or D. Units with S for land means that the unit can unleash its full potential on land and that goes the same for other terrains. The new gameplay is the concept of attack mecha body parts. All mechas have four body parts: Body (Main part. If this body part's hit point reaches zero, the entire unit considered destroyed while ignoring the other parts), Head (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the accuracy and evasion of the unit will drop by 30% percent as the head serves as the eyes and without it, the pilot can't see what's attacking his or her and the pilot can't dodge something that he or she can't see), Arms (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the weapons mounted on the arms will be rendered unusable as it couldn't be operated), Legs (Sub parts. If this part's hit point reaches zero, the movement of the unit would drop into 1 move as without legs, the unit couldn't move normally and weapons mounted on legs would probably rendered unusable).
White Base has arrived on Earth and Captain Reed asked why the White Base couldn't go to Jaburo. Turns out, the White Base's entry route after arriving on Earth has turn into the other direction and ended on North America as pointed out by Shiro which means that they won't be going to Jaburo anytime soon. Outside the White Base, Kaine and the gang seems very happy breathing Earth's oxygen for the first time after living in the colony for so long (All the original Londo Bell crew born in colony with the exception of Watta and Akimi/Akemi depending on which Akatsuki siblings you picked as the main character and main characters from other planets such as the J9 team, Daltanious and possibly Daiohja. The last two teams will join in later chapter). Though being on Earth feels exciting, Kaine seems to be worried about Amuro since he locked himself in his room and hasn't come out for several hours already. Light assured Kaine that it's probably not a very big problem. In Amuro's room, Fraw Bow told Amuro to standby but Amuro admits that he is being insomnic because he had a feeling that he doesn't fit to pilot a mobile suit which Fraw Bow scold him to stop overthinking about it (Seriously? You are being inconsiderate when you told him that, Fraw. Think of his feeling for once and you are indeed being too nosy in Amuro's conflicted feeling of piloting mobile suit because you don't want to understand him just because you didn't pilot the mobile suit yourself). Meanwhile...Garma meets his old friend, Char and Aina wishes to see his brother again. Garma told Char to drop the formality as old friend but he also prepare to launch which Char agreed to join. Back at White Base, a transmission by Matilda ask for help from enemy's attack while transporting a cargo addressed for the White Base. Bright immediately told the crew to sortie right away.
In this chapter, we will be facing three main opponents: Garma in his Gaw battleship, Meio and the Practice Team, solo Char with the same HP but still deal dangerous damage to low HP base unit. Once the White Base allow the Cargo Transporter docked, the cargo contains three Ground Gundams. Shiro, Karen, and Sander sortied with their respective Gundams while Michel and Eledore drive the Hover Truck. This was still easy especially because this time, Soul Saber has slightly OP damage that if I wasn't careful in choosing the weapons...I could accidentally one hit the prominent enemy characters such as Char's red Zaku could be one hit kill with Soul Saber's Spiral Tornado dealing damage above 5000 points on most small units regardless of armor.
