This is a mode that is only in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, this is Smash Tour, which is kind of like Mario Party, where it is a board game where you play as Mii characters and travel through the board.
On the board, you collect powerups, which boost your stats, characters you can use, and you get into battle when two players come into contact on the board. You can turn on customizations, and all characters will have custom moves, which are indicated by the numbers 1 to 3, 1 is their default special moves, 2 is their first custom moves, and 3 is their second custom moves.
You can set the game for 15 to 25 turns, and there are three different boards, and random events can happen, like a boss fight, and enemies sometimes interfering with the board.
There are many types of battles, like regular Smash, 300% Smash, which is like Sudden Death, and battles where certain types of items appear, like Boss Galaga, Poké Balls, or Mr. Saturn. For boss fights, the following bosses are the Yellow Devil, Ridley, or Metal Face, and the fighter that deals the finishing blow will be rewarded with a lot of stat boosts.
There are special items on Smash Tour, which take the form of Trophies, and they have special effects, red ones work on your self and they are used in battle and provide you with either an item, and there are some that can affect opponents. Blue ones are used on the game board, and green ones are used in both.
When the game is finished, all players will fight on Battlefield, and the winner of the game is not based on who is the last fighter standing, instead it is based on KO count, and you win some equipment for participating.
There are some challenges related to Smash Tour, if you play on all three maps, you unlock the stage Pac-Land, and most of them reward Trophies, and one of them rewards a Mii costume.
Smash Tour is not in the 3DS version, instead it is Smash Run, which is likely based on City Trial from Kirby Air Ride, and that mode is only in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. In that mode, you go through a large map which is like a maze, and there are a bunch of enemies, like the common Goomba and Koopa Troopa, and there are some enemies that are from The Subspace Emissary that appear in Smash Run, and because Masahiro Sakurai was the developer of Kid Icarus: Uprising, there are some enemies from that game that appear in Smash Run.
After five minutes have passed, it leads to the final battle, most of them were carried over to the Wii U version for Smash Tour, but there are some unique challenges, which is like Race to the Finish, and there are some hazards that can appear during Smash Run, like temporarily boosting stats to 1000, and a powerful enemy appearing for a short time, and you get a big reward if you can defeat them.
I would have liked to see Smash Run return in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but we never got that or Smash Tour, I guess that is one thing most people liked about Super Smash Bros. 4, even if Ultimate is clearly the better game, but it doesn't have some of the modes from Super Smash Bros. 4.
If you are wondering if this is it for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U videos, I might show some different modes in that game, but I will not be showing online, even though I prefer how online was handled in that game compared to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
