This is Super Space Invaders on the Sega Master System. It was released in 1992 & is a port of Taito's arcade hit. The original arcade was released in 1990 & was called both Super Space Invaders 91 & also Majestic Twelve: The Space Invaders Part IV.
It keeps the core gameplay but expands it with power ups (acquired by shooting the motherships), bonus rounds where you protect cattle, screen filling boss battles, scrolling stages & similar to Darius a choice of routes increasing playability.
The port to Master System is outstanding with colourful graphics, faithful gameplay , fun two player action, lots of content & choice of routes adding to the longevity. It's another superb port of a Taito arcade gem!
This is my original PAL copy from back in the day (still has the price sticker on it!)played through a Powerbase convertor on my CDX/MultiMega through a Retrotink 5X for ease of capture. If you want to see more of this game I'll try clearing some space on my hard drive & run some Widows Updates etc & try capturing again.
