Fans of my channel will know I'm a fan of Sega's Master System so I'm intending to upload videos of the games in my collection through 2025 alongside lots of other bits & pieces of course!
This is James Pond 2: Codename Robocod (or more commonly just called Robocod) on Sega Master System. It is a port of the Amiga classic & is a fun platformer. The port is very slick with colourful graphics & much of the original spirit maintained with fast, fluid controls & gameplay. It retains the innovative cheat system where collecting items in a etain order will spell a word & grant that cheat mode.
For example Cake, Hammer, Earth, Apple, Tap spells out CHEAT which grants invulnerability. Spell out LIVES & POWER by collecting the objects in the right order for more goodies. I use these here for the playthrough to show them off & make it easier to capture.
There are better platformers on the system but this is slick, colourful & worth checking out for fans of the genre.

This is my original PAL copy from back in the day (you can still see the price tag where I picked it up for a bargain!) played through a Powerbase convertor on my CDX/MultiMega through a Retrotink 5X for ease of capture.
