Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo cross up and standing up differences example...
Really struggling to figure out how to keep this channel active. Espeically now that I cant seem to get video game stuff to work on my computer period.. I Think I might have to buy some new capture device stuff as well.. So trying to find some scraps of stuff I havent uploaded so heres one...
One important thing I think when playing video games is while youre playing to put yourself into the other persons shoes, or look at their circumstances as well. Heres a good one in Super turbo. Some characters in super turbo depending on the direction they get hit or knocked down their hit boxs vary drastically. Espeically a easy example here would be dhalsim. Dhalsim can be crossed much farther than he looks, and subsequently if you hit him and he is knocked the wrong direction(like from a cross up hurricane kick, although of course this works vs everyone again just sim is drastic and very obvious for video reasons)he is much harder to jump over even if it looks like youre at a distance where even your crosss up would not normally hit.
This is pretty important espeically in a game where one jump in combo might mean dizzy or the round period.
So yea here is a pretty easy example that happens very often that might get over looked. Often times when your crossed up and surpised it might not be as surpising as you might think or a misc cross up might not be as tricky as you think. The trick was you didnt pay attention to which way your guy got knocked down.
