Superman Analogue: Maxima
Superman is certainly a hunk that's drawn the eyes of many, including an alien queen with powers that rival his own!

Original Text: Friday is named after the Norse goddess, Freya, who is associated with Venus from Roman mythology. Now, there have been several comic characters directly based on her, but none really are #SupermanAnalogues, so instead I'm going to talk about an avatar of hers, Maxima
Maxima is an early 90s creation in DC comics. She's an alien warrior queen and is obsessed with finding the most qualified heir. To her this is Superman.
Due to selective breeding of superpowered aliens that was the basis for her dynasty, she has a wide range of powers, from psychic abilities to super strength. In fact, in the original Doomsday battle, she put up the best fight outside of Superman himself.
She's been our hero, anti-hero, and villain. Much like other Royal characters like Namor, politics is often a motivation for her choices, but in her case the desire to find a King to stand beside her and strengthen her families bloodline is a factor...so actually a lot like Namor
During the 90s, she was positioned as a more extreme Wonder Woman, to go along with the general trend in comics at the time.
Beginning Life as a pulp fiction exotic Queen, her costumes tend to be revealing, though some illustrators have tried to make it more in line with traditional comic books, though sometimes falling victim to the "they're basically naked but colored differently" trend.
She had appearances on the Superman animated series
And also was on Supergirl, though I only remember that it happened. I cannot tell you anything about her actual story despite watching the episode in the past year
As with all the other characters that strongly resemble the archetypes of the big players of the DC universe, writers often have trouble finding something for them to do, and they end up hanging out on the periphery of the DCU
In doing image searches for this thread, I see that she's been turning up in the recent Supergirl books, so I look forward to checking those out.
But I think it's fun to talk about a superhero whose key motivation is lust. She's a very "Game of Thrones" kind of character. She's a strong lady, with powers that rival Superman, and a position of authority...and she also wants to get it in. And that's cool. Maxima do Maxima.
