#SuperOldGameSaturday was on a Friday for the first time ever with this show, but I wasn't going to miss a week of the program, especially with this being a game requested by a viewer. Dollyfinn wanted to see Luigi's Mansion, which launched almost 20 years ago alongside the Nintendo Gamecube, so I was happy to deliver this unorthodox, but charming, unique and fun game that gave Luigi his first canonical starring role in the Mario franchise (the actual first one was Mario Is Missing, an edutainment title which Nintendo didn't make). Dollyfinn came armed with all of the knowledge on this one, making for another terrific time exploring this seasonally appropriate romp through the titular mansion as we search for ghosts to bust, including King Boo, but the rest of the chat also had a lot to offer regarding some of the parallels we went off on, like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Saturday Night Live and the quite controversial Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack cost (which was just announced on the day we were live for this), as well as other aspects of this game, its sequels, some great "what-ifs" on story lore and its 3DS version from 2018 (including a shout out from me on a pretty great look by ExoParadigmGamer on the differences between the Gamecube and 3DS editions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfiQTlJ4e80). Also, because I believe in being as complete with the looks of the games we play, I also showed off the trailer of Pikmin that came on the disc.
