Supplice: E1M1 (Helafex Station) - 100% on Supplice-difficulty
Hello!
Starting a new series of videos with this one!
(Links, secrets and more information at the bottom of the description)
Short introduction:
Supplice is an FPS game inspired by mid-90's shooters and Doom modding community, that's using GzDoom-engine. Free mouselook is intended, while jumping/crouching is disabled.
We're playing as a female protagonist, Zorah, in this one.
(The game is currently in Early Access out with 4 episodes of planned total of 6 of them)
We're going in on hardest difficulty (Supplice), that I hadn't really even tried before starting to record.
I was playing on Hard during my first playthrough, you see. (...and I'm still doing that as well!)
Also, I hope that this structure of time-links works well for these videos.

In any case, you start with a melee-weapon with a rechargeable alt-fire being a short-ranged, frontal blast. You'll also get an Assault Rifle and a 3-barreled Rotary Shotgun for both close-ranged as well as long-ranged combat.
This is already a strong start to deal with different types of encounters that you'll get yourself into.
But make no mistake: Compared to Hard-difficulty, Supplice-difficulty ramps up the enemy aggression much higher and that requires a bit to get used to.
In general...
Levels are large and use 3d-floors, where player will traverse on multiple levels. The sum of complexity can be taxing for the pc on this engine.
The map has been kept more readable by devs choosing, what lines are shown on it and which aren't... You also are shown locked doors, terminals and portals, for example.
Visually everything mostly looks great and there isn't much of anything that big to nitpick about.
• Detail level is very high, but also on-point and polished. It also doesn't get in your way normally.
• However, if the game feels too dark, have a look in options and increase brightness by a little.
Gameplay mostly works smoothly along with you aiming with weapons.
• Only slowdowns might happen in areas, where you look at a larger section of the level at once.

In this level, we fight our way up to the station from a bit of an underground location, where we start from. Then go through the station and end the level at the start of a forest road.
We have 3x guns
We get 6x upgrades
We find 9x secrets
We read 9x normal terminals + 1x red terminal
• While underground, we can activate power for lifts to get back up quicker.
• Whole level remains fully explorable and everything is attainable from start to finish.
Looks great all-around
Music's a banger
Level flows quite well up to the station, where it can get a bit confusing to find your way to the next target.
Difficulty is fair: Drill-section is a bit dangerous, but gets easier with the guns.
Lots of weak enemies with guns, but plenty cover available. No mean traps are used in this one.
Very plentiful health and enough armor available.
...and bonus-points for the special toilet!
All in all, a solid start to get you going, even on the hardest difficulty.
Not much of anything worthwhile to complain about really.
