Switch Starlink: Battle for Atlas DDE G6, 1P gameplay, Surveying Kirite for Electrum & Upgrade Mods!
Following Razor's advice, but unaware there where no secondary objectives available, I stick around Kirite to see what I can acquire. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Main Campaign: Shoot for the Stars.
Fly!
Preparing and departing from Shaletown Observatory. I set my eyes on my first location to explore, one that turned out to be heavily protected by Cyclops!
(2:43) Setting course and arriving at Shaletown.
I've noticed that the Cyclops kept teleporting in, in groups of 3. I decided to take that opportunity to practice executing weapon combo effects.
Hitting an target a second time with the Levitator, while still under the effects of the first hit, produces the Stasis Overload effect. If that second hit is with the Flame Thrower, it produces the Heat Blast effect instead.
I exchange the Flame Thrower for the Freeze Ray Mk.2, in order to dislodge Nova from a Heat Corroded Nova crystal lump. However, I failed to realize that I could had taken that to Shaletown Observatory in exchange for goods. That would be something I did later on, off video, a couple of times.
One thing that I did forget to test in it's entirely, was to see if I can leave to planet with something on my Tractor Beam. At this time, I'm under the impression that I can, or have to dock with the Equinox, in order to unload goods acquired, into it's cargo bays I know it has.
(17:25) Setting course and arriving at Orbital Depot.
Like Shaletown, the Orbital Depot has been taken over by The Legion. This time however, the enemies where the Orbital IMPs. Looks like the arrive via lightning strikes.
But, whatever they are, they where able to very quickly take me out, when they jumped over my ship! Was completely caught off guard there.
Knowing now that I'll be facing a larger number of smaller foes, I exchanged the Levitator with the rapid fire Shredder Mk. 2. Wanted to go back there, since that area turned out to be rich in resources!
Anyways, the Freeze Ray Mk. 2 and Shredder Mk. 2 allowed me to try the Shatter effect.
After a cautious fight, I collected a sizeable amount of goods, before preparing to blast into space to meet with the Equinox.
