Syphon Filter Walkthrough Part 1: Georgia Street (INTRO)
Welcome to the start of another trilogy on this channel, dear gamers! The trilogy in question is Syphon Filter, the third-person shooter series that has far more than three games, but due to limitations of my game choices, i can only record original three games released for PS1, so sit back and enjoy as we kick off first Syphon Filter!
About Game: Syphon Filter is 1999 third-person shooter video game developed by Eidetic Interactive (modern-day Bend Studio) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment America through their now-defunct 989 Studio division as PlayStation exclusive. Due to success of this game, two more PS1-exclusive sequels were released in 2000 and 2001 respectively and further sequels for PS2 and PSP were released between 2004 and 2007 with no new games since.
Story of the game follows Gabriel "Gabe" Logan and Lian Xing, two operatives of secret black ops group in the service of the American government called The Agency and their attempts to stop German terrorist Erich Rhomer who has recently gotten his hands on new and extremely potent virus known as Syphon Filter, capable of killing almost anything it infects. While tracking Rhomer and his contacts in Costa Rican jungle, Gabe and Lian find their collegue and mole within Rhomer's organization named Ellis executed and unknown plants grown in nearby compound burned down. Several weeks later, Rhomer's organization stages a viral attack with Syphon Filter in the subway station in Washington D.C., leading up to Gabe being sent in to assist US Army's CBDC teams as they fight to find the bombs with Gabe also being tasked with eliminating or capturing Rhomer and his affiliates, namely Pavel Kravich, Anton Girdeux and Mara Aramov...
