Metal Gear Solid Walkthrough Part 10: Maintenance Base (Vulcan Raven Boss Fight)
0Snake enters maintenance base housing an underground hangar where Metal Gear REX is located. While making his way through the base, Snake is contacted by Master Miller who reveals that Naomi Hunter is possibly an enemy spy, citing inaccuracies in her earlier recollection of her grandfather's job and the fact that she allegedly stole the identity of a woman named Naomi Hunter who disappeared somewhere in Middle East years prior, managing to convince Roy Campbell to have her detained and interrogated. While making his way through mainteinance base's cold storage leading into Metal Gear's hangar, Snake is once again confronted by Vulcan Raven who faces him alone, leading to an intense one-on-one fight during which Raven is severely injured. Before dying, he reveals that DARPA Chief who died in front of Snake shortly after the start of his infiltration was in fact FOXHOUND member Decoy Octopus while the corpse seen by Snake during his brief incarceration belonged to the real DARPA Chief who was accidentally killed during interrogation 24 hours before Snake entered the facility and had all of his blood drained out by Octopus due to his habit to impersonate his targets down to blood type, but cause of both his and Kenneth Baker's death remains unknown. Raven also cryptically states that both Snake and Liquid are "part of another world" which he does not want to know before his ravens eat him alive, destroying his physical body in the process...
