Shortly after terrorist attack in Washington D.C., Gabe and Lian start investigating Rhomer's connection with pharmaceutical mega corporation PharCom whose compounds were used by Rohmer in Costa Rica months earlier. They also start looking for the terrorist mole within The Agency's ranks which has alerted Rohmer about a mole within his own organization, causing Ellis' death and destruction of Costa Rican facility. Two finally get a chance to dig deeper into relationship between Rhomer and PharCom during gala reception in an expo center in New York City owned by the company which Gabe attends as an guest, his objective being to discreetly place a wiretap on PharCom's CEO Jonathan Phagan in order to allow The Agency to listen in on him. However, Gabe isn't satisfied with this and opts to personally follow Phagan through the expo center, eventually finding out that he is indeed in cahoots with Rohmer's organization as Mara Aramov meets with him, trying to get location of other Syphon Filter labs. It is also revealed that terrorist mole within The Agency was its vice-director named Benton whom Gabe kills in brief shootout before continuing to pursue Phagan and Mara through expo center, intending to stop Mara from killing Phagan and apperhending her in order to find out where Rohmer's base of operations is...
