Time to kill the corrupted king. Yet again.

Ok, this final boss isn't screwing around, and it can be a massive roadblock if you really haven't come into gripes with the gameplay of this game (less emphasis on uber units, more on party composition, at least for the main game).

First phase, Dorgalua will summon doppelgangers of your characters. These are 1:1 copies, including equipment but excluding consumables. Dorgalua himself is a real monster - massive attack power and a weapon that can counter when in close range, high magic and big area dark damage spells, 4 buff cards from the get go (like every boss), can teleport around the battlefield, and has Meditate for more MP gain and the infuriatingly annoying Risk Management, which transfers all damage the boss takes to adjacent allies at 2 range. He can also use Condemn, a skill that prohibits revival and lasts as long as it's dispelled by Absolution and remains active even on the second phase; he tends to use it on his second turn. Considering the doppelgangers spawn very clustered close to the boss, this fight can turn into a real mess if Dorg decides to sit close to other units, and more keep getting close to him. To win, you need to reduce his HP to at least 20%.

Second phase, Dorg turns into that huge abomination, and gain some new tricks - Exhalatio, a MASSIVE 6 range attack around himself that deals big damage and depletes the targets' MP down to zero; and Umbra, a target 3 area attack that deals even more damage and causes Frighten on everyone. Staying close to him will trigger his Howl skill, which causes stun in an area around him. He'll also do close range physical attacks. The bad thing is that you'll start the fight with whatever RT leftover you had from the first stage, and then Dorg himself is crazy fast and can easily double your characters.

I'll level with you, this can be pure RNG hell. You want to finish the fist phase ASAP and try to focus Dorg down while ignoring the doppelgangers, or else it can get really hairy and you'll may eat up your consumables before the real big fight. The copies are vulnerable to status debuffs, so charm, petrify and whatnot works really well against them. You can debuff the boss' magic with Echo Stones and then wipe out most copies until you are comfortable - don't forget to dispel Condemn with Absolution, Catiua and any cleric can use it. It's a good idea to not rely too much on Meditate, specially since the enemies might get it when you don't, and spam your team with your powerful spells. Use items to restore MP, don't be stingy.

There's no shame in resetting or charioting until you get a first phase that doesn't open with Risk Management. That ability is BS. Then you can home in on him to quickly secure a win.

2nd phase depends on how good your team is with ranged attacks. Anybody who can't target at a distance will be a liability. Try to not have your characters clustered in a single place. Dorg's AI tries to prioritize your characters with max MP or people with the lowest defense, or characters close to ledges to try and push them, so try to take advantage of that - but remember that he will nearly always use Umbra if he gets 90 MP, and that's really bad. All of his attacks are physical so have Brands of Sacrifice ready to debuff him and make the fight more manageable. It pays to manipulate RT enough in the 1st phase just so you can immediately lob one on him and prevent your team from getting killed in his first turn.

Honestly, the easiest way I found to do this is having an army of lobbers throwing bombs at the boss. Beastmasters, Fusiliers and Vyce's unique Ranger class are all excellent. Equip them with the accessories that boost weapon skill by +20, and those things can be super deadly. By manipulating RT and the copies' spawn position, you can render Risk Management ineffective or severely nerfed by having Dorg move close to squishies, then just keep throwing bombs and elemental orbs on them until they all die.

Second phase gets punked hard by lobbers. The huge throwing range makes his teleportation nearly worthless. Don't move much to conserve RT, and keep throwing that stuff on him. That's it.

As for the ending, you can get this by going the Law path and saving Catiua.
