The first twenty minutes or so of today's stream were ranting about Sonic Origins Plus. I do not like what Sega did with it. It was very "corporate money grab". But that's not what we're here for. We're here to actually play through the Game Gear game I thought might be worth giving a full run. And, so far, it is. It's not a great game, of course. It's a bit slow (it was on the Game Gear, after all), but I do like the exploration aspect. It feels like an early Metroidvania, but level based. You still have to collect power ups to unlock the ability to get to new areas. And you have to choose what power-ups to take. And that latter is what caused me to have to stop a little early, as I took the wrong items into a level I'm in and have to redo it. Sigh.
