I did a small, cute, themed RPG for Halloween, so why not do the same for Christmas? Though this one isn't an unknown for me. I found Zeboyd many years ago, when they released parts 3 and 4 of the Penny Arcade games - since the original developers dropped them. I went on to buy a few more of their RPGs, and enjoyed them. Small, humorous games, a good way to kill a few hours each. Including the earlier game in this series, Cthulhu Saves the World.
I'd been sitting on this one for a while, and figured it was time to bring it out. So far, I'm enjoying it. It has a very interesting battle mechanic with how the skills works. You can pick so many, you have three random slots, and they're mostly one-shots that you can recharge with your defense ability. I really like it. Could do without the genocide mechanic, personally, but it speeds up the game so whatever. I'm not opposed to level grinding, personally. There's plenty of references in this game that I don't necessarily recall or know all of, but that's fun. It's a fun game, and I do recommend it. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
