Final Fantasy Legend II (via Collection of SaGa) playthrough Part 8 Final
And there we are, the last fight. I was on the final floor of the dungeon when I just gave up yesterday. Which, if I had known about the final dungeon, I would have ended the stream sooner anyway, and made this a full day. But that's what happens going in blind.
And as for that final floor? More BS enemies, and a boss fight that, well, I'd already drained my resources just getting down to. So I wasn't ready to tackle. And the elevator is right there... but you're not allowed to take it up until the game's over. If, at the very least, that was able to be activated and used to resupply, that would have given me SOMETHING to celebrate. But no.
I never want to see this game again. And that's a shame, because up through the Apollo fight, it actually was pretty good. But after that? After that this game was nothing but pain. Apollo was a solid end boss too. A challenge that I had to go back and overcome. But the mini-boss in particular in that final dungeon that would party wipe you, forcing you to play it over and over and over and over and over until RNG was kind? That kills this game for me. There was no way to mitigate that damage, and even if you had every party member set to healing, you'd STILL die because they cast that spell back to back, which party wipes every time. Unacceptable. Really, this game needed to end at Apollo. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
