Getting through Lake Crystal will unlock Polly Mountain 2. You should definitely first return to Tails' House to heal, though.

Also, bring the Night Vision with you. This part of the mountain is very dark, and you'll have to use these goggles to light every section you go through.

At the bottom of the starting area, you can get an Item Radar... it basically helps you find other items, but I don't really need that, here.

In the second room, you can use the Remote Robot to find the Fang item. This is supposed to double the amount of Rings you get from killing enemies. I don't really need this item, either.

There is some fiery wind in this cave, so you're forced again to rely on Tails' jumps and ability to climb ledges to make it through here.

3:10, I was confused at this spot, but I found out it was just a breakable ceiling. The problem is that the arc of Tails' Triple Bomb toss can't reach the ceiling to blow up on it.

I found out I can go around this by using the Spin Dash a few paces away from that spot to grab a ledge quickly. In the higher area, you'll see some breakable towers, but you'll also have to break them carefully to use them as platforms again the wind currents.

I just... Spin Dashed through them, too.

Another item you can get with the Remote Robot is Large Bomb. This is another powerful Bomb that can break walls that no other Bombs can break. You'll need this for my next step in this playthrough, and after picking it up, I don't need to do anything else. So I leave.
